Essential Question: How can learning to type correctly improve your work?

Skills learned: MS Word, Bold, Underline, Italic, Change Color, Change Font, Change Size, Word Art and Clip Art

Non-Technical Skills Learned: Creativity, Graphic Design, Listening skills and Spelling

Setup Procedure:

Step 1: Open Microsoft Word and save your document as last name farm. Example: smithfarm

Step 2: Type the Pig

Step 3: Change Pig to size 22 font.

Step 4: Change color to Pink

Step 5: Insert picture of Pig from Clip Art

Step 6: Write a 4 sentence short story about your animal. It should start off with this sentence. You may use more than 4 sentences if necessary.

I was walking down the street and saw an 8 foot tall…

Step 7: Repeat Step 2 – 6 for 3 more animals.

Example:

Pig

I was walking down the street and saw an 8 foot tall pig eating a BLT from Subway. Why would a pig eat bacon? Doesn’t he know that bacon comes from pigs? A giant snort bellowed from the pig as it chomped down on the foot long BLT. I simply waved at the pig and went on with my business.
