Role: Largemouth Bass teaching a survival skills class

Audience: Baby Largemouth Bass attending the class

Format: A letter to them

Topic/Task: Why it is important to understand baits fisherman use to fish and how it could save their lives.

Example

Good morning class. My name is Larry Largemouth from the grassy patch on the East side of the lake. I’ll be filling in for your old teacher Bobby Bass who unfortunately went out for a Pig-n-Jig dinner last night and never returned. Today in survival skills class  we will learn about two very popular baits that fisherman use to catch us. Always look out for the deadly plastic baits. They come in many colors and look just like worms, lizards, and crawfish. The pumpkin colored Zoom Trick worm always tempts me into striking it. Mmmmm…I love those Trick Worms. Secondly, the dreaded top-water bait. There are many top-water baits in the water, but none more inviting than the Buzz Bait. Be very careful young bass when feeding in the early mornings. This is when the exciting sound of the Buzz bait tears the water up. Just remember that if you give in and strike at the bait, you must do everything in your power to throw the hook before it is embedded into your jaw.
